Original Batik - A multistep process using wax and dyes on silk.

Limited Edition - A limited number of prints. Our limited editions are done using one of two methods: Offset printing process OR Giclée. All are signed and numbered by the artist.

Giclée Printing -The art of fine art printing has become even more precise with the advent of the revolutionary Giclée (ghee-clay) printing process. In the Giclée process, a fine stream of ink (more than four million droplets per second) is sprayed onto archival art paper. Each piece of paper is carefully hand mounted onto a drum which rotates during printing. Exact calculation of hue, value and density direct the ink from four nozzles. This produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes (with over three million colors possible of highly saturated, non-toxic water-based ink. Since no screens are used in Giclee printing, the prints have a higher resolution than lithographs and the dynamic color range is greater than serigraphy.

Open Edition - An unlimited or unspecified total number in the edition. All our open editions are reproductions of an original Batik using a high quality offset printing press. All are signed by the artist.
